Door to Door

Everyday is market day in Istanbul. Whether it is the high street stores bulging with tourists and cashed up locals, or the busy market area in and around the Grand Bazaar of the Old City abuzz with daily shoppers, to the guy who sells household goods from door to door. Istanbul is one of those cosmopolitan cities that shares its past with the present.
I remember as a child when the old grocery truck drove around our neighbourhood and the milkman delivered milk to the door everyday in glass bottles. Similar scenes can be found in Istanbul if you dare to venture (not very far) off the tourist track.
